Anyone in the Toronto area might want to check out this VW/Parts place in Mississauga that I’ve been using for a couple of thangs. Frisco Parts 1-800-585-0344 or 905-282-9992. Got a Bosch cap and rotor for $13.50 CAN ( $9.18 US as $1US = $1.47CAN) – Thermostat $14.50 – Thermo Switch $13.10 – Fuel Injector $43.00.

After the initial blank stare when I said my car was a Porsche – just pulled the thermostat housing with VW/Audi stamped on it and they were fine. Part numbers all matched up.

If anybody knows of a good place to go in the southwest Ontario region let me know. I'm curious as to where some of you guys get stuff. Dealer prices were more than this.

Hi Thom,

Cap 905-9076-113-905-207C (the number that is acually on the cap and the box of the new one is 1-235-522-056)

Rotor 905-9087-055-905-225

Both are for the rabbit, golf, jetta, fox, audi 100

Play it safe and take your old cap and rotor (or any other part) and double check. By the way, mine’s a 1980 NA – I’m not sure if they used the same distributor for every year.
